I need to look at my bank account. I don't know if mine came back, yet, or not.

Re: Hi

Mine is about 6 weeks away but it is good enough that I'll be able to pay off a couple of credit cards and PK can have a good vacation this year.

Re:

I am working on the same skin.

I have also taken a zillion bird pictures since the weather finally got sunny here, and it takes hours to sort and edit.

I also spend a good 4 or 5 hours a day on my message boards a day, and then I squeeze in reading and piano students.

I don't know how I ever fit in my full time job and am glad it is gone.

Now, I need to go feed the birds.

Re: Hi

I do 25 pound bags of bird thistle every week. I just keep it on my grocery list! LOL
I wake up, let the dog out.....scoop the litter boxes (with 7 cats I do this 3 times a day)...feed the cats, the let the dog back in and feed her.
Then I have my breakfast, and coffee and then catch up on FB and the boards.....then about 10 I call Mom or she calls me and I find out if they need anything done. Most days not. But often enough, I go over and help them do something. I then clean my own place (quietly, as Rog is on calls all day...so everything except vacuuming that gets done on Sat. or Sun.)....then I do my other chores around here. Lately, planting flowers, making sure the irrigation is working properly, doing poop patrol....
Once a week I take Mom out for a "Ladies day out"...
Weekends we do our maintenance things around the house, mowing, weed whacking, vacuuming and make dump runs with grass etc. And do any chores that Dad can not handle any more.
And I hope online whenever I need a 'back' break...as I'm no longer on any pain pills, so just have to deal.
And that is my days.. emoticon

I use Voltaren Emulgel. It is fabulous, but it is prescription. However, you can get it on Ebay.

No over the counter "miracle" cream has ever worked for m.

Re: Hi

I am really worn out... This summer I hired my nephew to cut the yard at my home and he was doing a good job but his school started two weeks ago and he stopped coming by. There are a couple of kids who also do yard work but PK told them no because Dusty (my nephew) was doing it. My room boarder was going to mow but he has been having problems with his blood pressure medicine and didn't do it.

So anyway, I kept waiting and the grass kept growing until I finally decided that if the yard was going to be mowed then I would have to do it myself. The problem, of course, is that with my schedule there are only a couple of days each week with any free time and they only give me a couple of hours to do any mowing before it gets dark!

I am working on it but the back half acre has grass that is over four feet tall and my mower only has a 21-inch deck. This makes for slow going. I estimate that after one week of mowing with my free time I have only managed to get one-third of the job done. I am forced to go slow because the grass has gotten so high and that means that something might be hidden in the grass that could damage the mower.

At my current pace, it is going to take me three weeks to bring the yard under control!

Oh, no! That is a real problem. I will be glad for you when it is done, but you still need someone to mow regularly. Perhaps you could hunt up one of those neighbor kids?

This summer, I lost my mowing/handyman guy. He moved. I ended up hiring a lawn service. It is a real relief. I should not have to worry about them moving. However, I will still need a handyman someday. Ugh.
